Ahotu launches new checkout

Ahotu, the world’s largest and most comprehensive sports calendar for endurance sports, launches new check-out functionality, allowing athletes to register directly for events on the platform. 

The new functionality will allow athletes to search, discover and book from over 35,000 forthcoming global races. Events are added daily by organizers all over the world, making Ahotu the most accessible platform for athletes wanting to find their next adventure. 

Catering for >27 sports including running, trail, ultra, triathlon and cycling and with new disciplines being added such as swim-run and ultra’s, Ahotu’s vision is to help athletes from everywhere find the right event in incredible destinations. 

Checkout in preferred currency

The new checkout feature not only allows direct registration, it also has been developed as part of a wider goal to increase ease of payment on any device. Athletes can now register for events in their preferred language and payment method, whether on desktop or mobile. Payment options now available include: Credit Card, Google Pay, Apple PayAlipay, WeChat, PayPal, Ideal, Klarna and more.

A seamless user experience

The user experience is the key element of the platform's continued success, with constant improvements being made to the user experience. Athletes are able to find the perfect race with advanced mapping search filters and can easily create an account, filling in a personal race log with events they want to join.

RaceOffice, Ahotu’s proprietary admin tool allows organizers to publish their events on Ahotu and World’s Marathon via RaceOffice. Features include:

  • Customizable registration forms and confirmation emails

  • Add additional products and services

  • Manage orders and participants

  • Follow  sales performance on bespoke dashboard

  • Create coupons and give discounts
